Father Michael has been the pastor at Holy Family since July of 2001. He was formerly the pastor of Saint Francis Of Assisi in Lenoir, North Carolina for seven years. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and ordained in 1978. Father was a professed member of the Benedictines for twenty years and served as Registrar of Belmont Abbey College for fifteen years prior to moving into the ministry full time for the Diocese of Charlotte.

Reverend Tri Vinh Truong, Parochial Vicar

Father Tri Vinh Truong was born in Vinh Long Province, Vietnam. In 1994, his family was granted refugee status, allowing them to immigrate to the United States. After living for a year in Atlanta, the family moved to Charlotte, where they currently reside.Father Truong graduated from St. Xavier University in Chicago and worked for a health care company for several years. But, a vocation to the priesthood continued to call to him. "I’ve wanted to be a priest for a long time," he said. He attended Mount St. Mary’s College and Seminary in Emmitsburg, Md. where he studied canon law, theology, systematic theology, homiletics (preaching) and Scripture. During his last year at seminary he served as a transitional deacon at Immaculate Conception Church in the Diocese of Harrisburg in Pennsylvania.

Reverend Mr. Gerard Schumacher, Deacon

Jerry has been part of Holy Family parish since 1991. He and his late wife, Mary Ellen have seven grown children and eight grandchildren. Jerry was ordained as a Permanent Deacon in 1988. He frequently attends daily Mass and celebrated the 20th Anniversary of his ordination to the diaconate in 2008.

Vicki joined our parish in 1996 after relocating from New Jersey.  She and her husband Len have two grown children.  Christopher is employed at Machine Specialties Inc, in Greensboro NC, and Katlyn is attending UNC Charlotte.  Vicki is in full charge of the administrative work of the parish including facilities scheduling and maintenance, priest's schedules, payroll and accounts payable.  She is involved in all aspects of parish work.

Paula has been a member of Holy Family since January of 1981 when she, her parents, and three brothers moved here from Chicago, Illinois.  Paula married Robert “Scott” Griffin at Holy Family in March of 1986.  She and Scott have five children; Phillip is a student at Western Carolina, Christine, is a student at Forsyth Tech and a waitress at the Fox and Hound, Nicholas attends Forsyth Tech and is head life guard at Bermuda Run Country Club, Bradley is a student at West Forsyth High School, and last but not least David a student at Clemmons Middle School.   Paula is currently an Administrative Assistant who has been on staff in various capacities at Holy Family since June of 2001.
