VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Summer is right around the corner and that means VBS. It will be held June 23rd to 27th. Join us for a week full of explosive fun as we discover Jesus’ miraculous power at the POWER LAB. WE NEED YOU TO SERVE ON THE PARISH COUNCIL!
The Parish Council will be looking to fill five (5) open seats come the end of the current term in June. Place your nominations in the ballot box located in the concourse by May 19, 2004. Please prayerfully consider service on your Parish Council. Nomination ballots are available here.

BAPTISMS
Baptisms are performed on the first and third Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. and must be scheduled at least one month in advance. Please call the Faith Formation Office at Extension 214 to reserve space in the required Parent Preparation Class held on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. In preparation for this class please complete the Baptismal Form.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ~ SAMARITAN MINISTRIES SHELTER
It is that time of year again to help at the Samaritan Ministries Shelter. Holy Family has committed to staff the Inn with 6 volunteers ages 17 and older each night for the weekends of May 10th & 11th, May 16th & 17th and May 23rd & 24th.
May has traditionally been Catholic Month at the Samaritan Inn and Holy Family has always been the leader in providing the most volunteer staff members. We have scheduled weekends, mostly Saturday and Sunday nights, to provide more opportunities for volunteers. Due to stricter health and safety rules all overnight volunteers must be 17 years old or older.
The shelter houses, and feeds dinner and breakfast to approximately 70 men each night. The volunteers are needed to prepare the meals, participate in the devotions and to just be there for those that need us. We are needed from 6:15 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. There are core volunteers that provide all the know how for what we need to do. The upstairs volunteer sleeping quarters have been renovated this past year with new pull down beds.
There will be sign up schedules in the concourse of the church after Masses each weekend. Please sign up as soon as possible so we can meet our obligation to the homeless shelter and provide help and companionship to the less fortunate.
