Admission Policy

Holy Family's Faith Formation/Youth Ministry Program does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, sex, national origin or handicap conditions.

Registration

Each child must be formally registered prior to participating in the Faith Formation / Youth Ministry Programs. Registration and Health History forms are available from the Office of FF/YM. Tuition is $55.00 per child and an additional sacramental fee of $50.00 is required of all students preparing for a sacrament. Tuition for students of teachers and aides participating weekly in the program are waived for the current year, but the sacramental fee is not. For anyone with a financial need, scholarships are available.

Baptisms

Baptisms take place each month on the first and third Saturday of each month at 11:00 AM and must be scheduled at least one month in advance. A Parent Preparation class is required and takes place on the last Tuesday of each Month at 7:00 PM. Reservations are required! Contact the Faith Formation Office at Extension #214.

Pre-School Program

Children of ages 3, to 5 may participate in classes during the Sunday 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM Masses. This program offers a variety of activities in a structured setting, including bible stories, arts and crafts, music, prayer and playtime. The curriculum is lectionary-based and follows the Sunday readings. The stories the children are hearing in class are the same ones the parents are hearing at Mass. The classes meet each week with some exceptions, beginning in September and ending in May. The calendar for these classes is included in the handbook.

Elementary School

Grades 1 through 5 meet weekly during the school year. Two sessions are offered on Wednesdays at 4:15 to 5:30 PM or 6:15 to 7:30 PM in the Family Center. Grade 1 is part of the two year required Sacramental preparation for Reconciliation and First Eucharist. All classes begin in August and end in May. Reconciliation is scheduled for early January and First Eucharist in late April or early May. Students attending St. Leo or Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Elementary Schools are excused from First grade attendance in our program. Second grade students must attend a sacramental Preparation class once a month. Calendars for these classes are distributed at the open house and are available in the Faith Formation Office.
